2.02 Horse Shows (1942-1959)

672 photographic negatives pertaining to the Lexington Junior League's Annual Horse Show. The emphasis of these negatives is on individual horses and riders, award presentations, spectators, Junior Leaguers at work, and entertaining at parties related to the horse show. These negatives remain in the original order created by staff Guide to the John C. Wyatt Lexington Herald-Leader photographs, 1936-1990 2004AV001 - Page 10- of the Lexington Herald-Leader. The original LHL envelopes were labeled, arranged chronologically, and each envelope contained multiple negatives. Each negative or negative strip has been given a unique number under the series designation 2.02.
