This series was originally arranged by newspaper staff in publication date order and filed with an alphanumeric number. Published and unpublished photographic negatives that related to individual newspaper stories were grouped together in an envelope. Subjects range from politics, home interiors, disasters, sports, recreation, farming, urban growth, pets, society events, schools, universities, and everyday life. Other images documenting this time period are included in other series within the collection.
